William Fishback, age 92, former resident of the Union Corner, Ill., and Tree Springs communities, died at 4:40 p. m. Thursday, May 3, at the home of a son, Roscoe G. in Hazel Park, Mich. He had been seriously ill two months. Born July 15, 1869, near Union Corner, he was a son of James A. and Carrie Chambers Fishback. He was married April 25, 1897, to Mattie Nimrick who preceded him in death on June 10, 1964. Mr. Fishback was a farmer until retiring and resided in the Union Corner area for several years before moving to the Tree Springs area in 1940. He had made his home with the son since 1956. Mr. Fishback was a member of Lowe's Chapel Christian Church. Surviving besides the son are four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother, Joe of Danville Rt. 4, and a nephew. Funeral services were held at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Sunday. The Rev. Carrell officiated. Burial was in Niccum Cemetery near Union Corner. Pallbearers were: Dale Gouty, Floyd Nimrick, Loyal Nimrick, Francis Nimrick, Frank Bodart, and Austin Dunavan.  --typed by Walt W dated 1962
